His name is Abaddon. He is not a human being. Abaddon is a very powerful evil angel. He is the “beast” of Revelation and the identity of the Antichrist. I am not making this up, it is in your Bible. Look at Revelation 9:11.

Abaddon was once one of God’s most powerful Holy angels before he rebelled along with Satan. Abaddon was cast out of the throne room of Heaven.

His name is Abaddon or in Greek, Apollyon (means the Destroyer) – and he shall one day ascend out of the Bottomless Pit or Abyss. Revelation 9:11

Abaddon is the “beast” who shall ascend out of the Bottomless Pit. Abaddon is currently locked up in the Bottomless Pit (or the Abyss) which is a prison for fallen angels. It is a terrible place full of the worst of the worst of fallen angels, and Abaddon is their king and absolute ruler. Free roaming demons on earth greatly fear the Abyss and begged not to be cast into the Abyss, beseeching the Lord Jesus to rather cast them into a herd of swine as seen in....

During the rebellion in Heaven, Abaddon took a seat on the throne of God in the temple of God in Heaven – which is the true explanation of 2 Thessalonians 2:1-6 in that Abaddon is the man of lawlessness. Abaddon is the beast who shall ascend out of the Bottomless Pit and he shall reign and rule over the entire earth for 42 months (3 and ½ years). Revelation 13:5

Abaddon shall totally dominate mankind with his army of huge demonic locusts with scorpion tails who will torture the inhabitants of the earth as described in Revelation 9:1-11.

Revelation 9:1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. 3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. 5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. 7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. 8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. 9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. 10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. 11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

Abaddon is the beast who shall ascend out of the Bottomless Pit to torture mankind into submission. He will dominate a One World Government, a monarchy over which Abaddon shall be the absolute ruler, dictator, and king over the entire earth.

Revelation 17:8 describes the mystery of the “beast”…

The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Angelic beasts are very powerful angels of the class Seraphim as seen also by Isaiah.

Isaiah 6:1-4, 1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. 2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. 4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

Angelic beasts are very powerful angels of the class Seraphim whose voices can literally shake the doorposts of the temple of God in Heaven. Abaddon was of this class of angels. But Abaddon rebelled and was cast out of Heaven into the Abyss. After the rapture of the Church takes place Abaddon will be released from the Abyss, and he will appear to mankind openly. Those left behind dwelling on the earth will wonder with amazement at his appearance. No human will be able to resist his power, except for the two witnesses who will ultimately be killed by Abaddon at the end of 1260 days.

Revelation 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

Abaddon has a comrade, another fallen angelic beast or Seraph who will accompany him out of the Bottomless Pit to dominate mankind as seen in Revelation 13:11&12And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast…

Abaddon and his fellow angelic beast, that the Bible calls the False Prophet, will dominate the earth and cause a percentage of earth’s population to take the Mark of the Beast, a mark of eternal damnation. The percentage of the earth’s population that will be caused to take the mark is clearly described in the following verse of scripture…

Revelation 13: 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads…

The word “all” in the above scripture means what it says.

The mark of the beast is the name of the beast, or the number of his name as seen in Revelation 13:17 KJV.

The name of the beast is Abaddon – which means destroyer or destruction.

Those with the mark of the beast are marked for destruction.

The good news is that the grace of God has provided you a means of escape though our Lord Jesus Christ and the gift of atonement through His shed blood on the cross.

Luke 21: 35 & 36 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

We are accounted worthy to escape by one thing only, the precious blood of Jesus shed for the forgiveness of our sins. Note that the definition of the word “escape” in the above scripture is to seek safety in flight. That definition is a perfect description of the rapture of the Church. Many criticize pre-tribulation rapture teaching and label it “escape theology.” But escape theology is the teaching of Jesus in the above scripture.

Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found…

Call on the name of Jesus today. Abaddon will be released on the earth. You do not want to be left behind when those in Christ are evacuated from the earth as the rapture takes place and Abaddon is then released to dominate the earth.

1 Corinthians 14:3  Teaches that the purpose of prophecy is to speak unto men to bring edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

It is a comforting word that those in Christ shall escape those things that shall come to pass by being caught up to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The pre-tribulation rapture teaching brings a true teaching of comfort in that those who are saved are trusting God’s promise of comfort in 1Thessalonians 4:16-18 to lift us out of destruction. God did the same with Noah as he and his family escaped as the ark was lifted above the earth on the flood waters and all who were left behind were destroyed. The alternative but popular post-tribulation teaching does not bring comfort to the believer but rather fear, dread, and concern regarding how to survive tribulation. Post-tribulation teaching does not represent a true prophetic picture of what lies ahead for the believer.
